Discuss and chat about all things MartinLogan!
Loyal MartinLogan customers,
Recently we announced a decision to discontinue our service support for certain legacy MartinLogan products that are no longer in production.
Well…we messed up.
Today I’m pleased to announce, after much discussion, the following:
1) MartinLogan stands...

I went through the process of Cleaning my Martin Logan Quest Stators in the shower.
I wrote the process down and created a PDF for everyone.
Hope this helps those interested in doing the same.
This thread will cover the topic of how to accurately measure and setup a MartinLogan based system using modern room correction systems, such as Audyssey, found on many new processors and receivers.
The thread will primarily be about the measurement process, but it will also cover certain setup...
"What would be a good amp choice for my MartinLogan speakers"?
That is the most common question we hear on the site. The folks at ML hear it too.
Selecting the right amplifier is a HIGHLY personal decision. Before asking the question again, here are some things you should read first:
I'll make this a sticky so it'll be easy to find.
Links to Audiogon and Ebay auctions are only allowed in the Classified section because they get deleted after 30 days.
Starting a thread in the Main Discussion forum saying "Hey, go look at Audiogon.. there are CLX's over...
The Summit X arrived today. No listening yet but here are some photos next to the Spire.
This week end, a friend of mine lent me a CD called "Best audiophile Voices selection" (www.top2music.com). It is a 24 bit 196 recording of some fantastic female voices.
I have NEVER heard my Quests sound so sublime! The sound was like being at a live session! My wife who is more into home...
Could someone pm me that would have the instructions for re-panneling the Quest or Re-Quest as I would like to have a look at them. If it would be possible to have them through email would be the best way.
Can anyone out there give me different web sites for stands for the cls speakers /w/ pics and prices ,I would love to get some type of stand to get them to get them off the carpet .Thanks to all ! Harry,ca
Has anyone replaced their panels on the SL3 with the latest xstat panels? Notice a difference?
I want my Aerius speakers to last me for many years to come. I read somewhere that it is best for the membrane to unplug the speakers after listening, and not leave them connected to the wall socket.
What is best??
Ever since the Summits were discontinued, the price structure of used/demo ML speakers has been helter skelter. Used Spires are going for $5500 while some folks are trying to get $4500 for used Prodigys or anywhere from $1500 - $3000 for Odesseys. The asking prices for used Summits are highly...
Title kind of says it all.
I know ML's need lots of space to breathe (I've owned Aerius', and a pair of Vista's in the past)
But, what I found in owning them is I couldn't get them to sound as good as they sounded in the store mostly because of the room they were in. So, now I have a...
I just recently bought Martin Logan Vantage, when I had listened to them all day and until evening I noticed when it got dark outside that the speakers had blue light on the front panel where the logo is. But I noticed that my left speaker did not have any blue light on, only my right...
Good morning everyone ,I have a question I own a pair of cls z ii they sound great ,my system is a Wyred4 sound ice amp st-500 (250wtt/8ohm,500wtt/4ohm)jolida tube preamp(music envoy) and jolida tube -cd player, martin Logan cls zii it all sounds unbelieveable.! with that said my question is...
Just curious, the Spires I've had around here forever (yeah, I know I need to get that review done) make this little burp about 20 minutes after I stop playing music.
Do any of you hear this?
It's not real loud, just a little "eep, eep"
I have a general question about ML and the panel/woofer crossover. Since Vantages have a crossover point of 400 does this mean that the dynamic cone handles everything under 400? If so doesn't that mean that male vocals are split between the panel and the cone? Does this compromise the...
Just received a pair of Spires and they're not near as warm-sounding as my outgoing Vantages. Both sets were purchased used, but the Vantages sounded great from the start. I'm wondering if the prev Spire owner had yet to run through the 72hrs+ break-in.
Hello I'm looking for a preamp recommendation for the martin logan purities would like it to cost under $1,000, use the purities built in amplification and is for two channel listening only.
I don't really know where to start looking!
I just received my second Fathom today and I am hooking each sub up as a MASTER using a Y-splitter out of my Theta Casa Nova Processor. Unfortunately, my Theta had a little hickup yesterday and lost all its prior settings... I cannot remember which type of Crossover I used in the Theta (it has 3:...
After much debate and Agon searching (a few Ebay auctions here and there), I found my speakers and amp. I went with a set of Vistas in dark cherry, previous owner claims they only have 40 hours on them and a Plinius 8200 mkII integrated. The amp is being shipped and the speakers I have to drive...
Does anyone have the specs for the cls2z powersource?
Voltage-polarity-current rating-size of plug etc
You won't have enough time to come here.:music:
I'm only comparing Vista through Summit X so it is what it is...
This is my understanding of the ML line, correct me if you think I got this wrong.
The Vantage is the Vista with a bigger woofer with it's own power for that woofer.
The Summit is a Vantage with a bigger panel,...
If you have the vertical height on your display that you can stick a shorter ML speaker under it, will it always be a better choice of center channel than a Stage?
Lets say, for example, that I could squeeze a Script i (probably one of the 'worst' ML electrostats (Still awesome!)) under a...
