In fairness to ML, these are machined aluminum cones with a locking mechanism, that allow for precise vertical adjustment.

Having said that, jtwrace (former ML poster), who had access to a machine shop, was selling a similar product for about $30 / each.

That's about $240 total plus ship.

I use them with the Montis. Expensive yes, but being able to achieve vertical alignment along with great stability makes them worth it.
