would Martin Logans still be your speakers of choice? If not, what would you go with?

Yep, absolutely. Statement E2x towers!

But likely, I'd have a few pairs. Avalon Sentinels would be among them. So would a pair of Gryphon Poseidons.

I, like Adam, would along with My Logans own a pair of Avalons as well, the most incredible soundstage I've heard to date..........oh hell, I'd just buy out Chad's (Acoustic Sounds) listening room and call it mine !!! LOL !

.......now for some porn. This thread was just asking for it!

First up, the MLs,

then the Avalons,

Then the Gryphons

......since I'd have them in that order, when I win lotto tonight!

Amey, that picture of the Statement E2 that you posted was the best picture I was able to find online as well. How can such an incredible speaker be so hard to find photos of?

EDIT: There you go making me look bad by posting a much better picture!

Don't worry - just wait a sec, I'll go and photograph mine (Don't I wish that was the truth!!)

I'd go with five or seven CLX's, in an infinite baffle mount configuration. Supported by a Double Bass array (also IB) all in a custom designed room.

Guys, the dream system is more about a dream room with the right dimensions and treatments, integrating things like IB's than it is about what model speaker or amp is used.
IMHO, of course ;)

That said, A bevy of Sanders amps fronted by the Denon AVP would be my choice for gear.

I need a couple of days with Revit or SketchUp to model it, but this room would be totally awsome.
Cost to build: Somewhere around $150K, before any equipment is mounted.

Total built and installed cost: $400 to $500K.

You did say unlimited, right? ;)

Absolutely, but we're talking speakers, right? Martin Logan don't build rooms!

You just wait until they announce the world's first walk-in speaker. Electrostatic walls!

Jonathan, exactly, that is what I implied with my comment about Chad Kassem's (Acoustic Sounds) room. FWIW, the ONLY commercial room I've ever been in that compares to "Terry's" room @ Overture.

Hello,
With an unlimited budget, the Wilson Audio Alexandria would be the one for me. Then again, I have yet to hear the Statements while I have listened to most of the Wilson's.
Cheers,
ML

I bet you could get martin logan to help you build the perfect room for the perfect speakers . that would be so coooooool!

With an unlimited budget I'd buy my own concert hall and orchestra.......and I would get to conduct !!! :D

I got to hear the E2 statements:bowdown:...Wilson is still trying but no cigar...would like to hear the JBL 66000:devil:

With unlimited funds I might have a pair of Statement E2's somewhere in the house. I would also have MBL101's as my primary or maybe some Acapella Triolon Excalibur's! These things are AWESOME looking, but I think they take up even more room than E2's!

I'd take a JBL Everest just because of the name. Big fan of mountaineering and Everest was always a dream of mine...
