Hi Guys! Since I live in Noway and I see alot of Sunfire subwoofer in audiogon at a very fair price, I am tempted to try one of these.. But I will have to use a step down converter. Do I have to get a converter that has at least the output of the power consumption of the sunfire woofer (which is 400watt) or (maybe stupid to ask) do I need to consider the power of the sunfire which is 2700W..

THANKS!!

Hello RVB,

You will want to make sure that the sub will work at 50Hz and 60Hz. If the sub will only work at 60Hz then you will need to conver the frequency too(this can cost much more).

I would look for a low impedance step down transformer that is rated for atleast 1000 VA. This way you will not have a large voltage drop if sub wants current.
