Just wanted to share my experience with the Depth Sub since. I bought the unit new from authorize ML dealer in the bay area last year.
Its configured for 2 channel only, using the low level inputs and outputs.

This unit has been left powered-on since its installation.
Twice since then had a problem where my preamp signal would go very faint
when listened to the Ascents. I had to un-plug the ac power cord from the Depth sub for a few minutes. Only after being turned off for that few minutes and powered back-on it works just fine. The second time it exhibited this symptom (last week) was after my system was played the night before at high volumes.

Could this be a sign of a problem that can get worst? Has anyone from this club had experienced a similar symptom on their ML subs?

It looked to me that the thermal shut-off circuit did trip and needed resetting or cool-off. It would be helpful to hear from fellow-club members.
Thx in advance :)

Sounds like there's a bad capacitor on the crossover board somewhere. Have you contacted the mfr yet? Try the speaker level connections to see if there's a difference.
HTH!
Regards,
Ross
