What guilt? I'm at 90%/10% and not a drop of guilt. If money is no object go with the Esoteric, I'm sure you'll be happy based on reviews and word-of-mouth. To be honest though I think you;ll get 85-90% of the Esoteric sound with the Rega for a lot less money. That final 10-15% is a lot more money usually.

That 10-15% increase in performance is well worth it in my book. My music listening is the most important hobby of mine. It's my get away from the real world.

has anyone here heard any of the modded players...opinions? I have heard the APL 3910... but all of the mods were not included in it. As I said - it sounded slightly better than my stock Denon 5900.

If any of you are going to the audio shows ... could you make note of any modded players that you see - and post?? thanks tim.
