speaker outriggers

Has anybody tried or using outriggers with their MLs?
If so what were the benefits if any?

Answer. More stable, better rigidity, improved imaging / dimensionality, better mid and lower bass, "quicker" response, less smearing, and the ability to adjust panel azimuth more easilly.
