Yes, Redbook refers to standard everyday CD's.

A couple of the better Redbook CD's that I have heard:

James Taylor - Hourglasss and October Road
Dire Straits - On Every Street
Amanda McBroom - Live
Brandeburg Concertos (Telarc Label - 2 Disc Set)
Rippingtons - Wild Card

And a couple of SACD's

Diana Krall - Love Scenes & The Girl In The Other Room
Both James Taylor's listed above
Art Pepper - + Eleven
Telemann - Tafelmusik
David Chesky - Area 51 (modern classical type music)
Handel - Water Music (Telarc Label) & Concerto Grossi Opus 3
Haydn - Symphonies 22, 44, & 64 (Pentatone)
Rimsky-Korsakov - Scherherazade (RCA Living Stereo)
Yellowjackets - Altered States

As you see I most like Jazz and Classical type music...

Dan

I too like jazz and clasical , and do have a few of those recordings , I was just listining to Diana Krall "live in Paris" its a decent recording , and I think Dire Straits"on every street" was one of my favorite disc's to take out to demo equipment. I will try to get the rest of your recomendations, as I like what I see, I will listen to any music(except RAP) as long as its a good recording , a poorly recorded disc will sound poor on any system
thanks Chris I will let you know about some of your recomendations as I am going to get some today!!!

If you like Krall, Love Scenes is great sounding. October Road is the better of the two Taylors...
