These are rather unusual lodgings wouldn't you say? How could anyone live in a flat so small yet so high up? What must the acoustics be like for ML's? And I thought my HT was small...
I follow building and architectural stuff. There is a trend right now to take old shipping containers and convert them into housing. They are built to the same dimensions within a few mm, and are designed to be stacked. There are a couple of condominium complexes made of stacked containers, usually with two-four containers per unit, and added balconies. I've also seen backwoods cabins made from a single unit. They usually spray foam insulation on the inside, cut out places for windows and doors, etc. Because it's a shipping container, any sea-land type truck can deliver them. There are apparently thousands of old containers available for cheap, once they're retired from actual overseas shipping. See here for some of the dwellings constructed this way.

That was amazing. I can't imagine what it sounded like live. My wife and I were in Edinburgh a few years ago and had the opportunity to
go to the Tattoo. It was incredible. It was also very cold and we were force
to drink alot of Whiskey to fight off the chill. If any of you are in Scotland and have the chance to go don't miss it.
