Dave,

I can't even tell if that's your model trains or not...

And glad to have you back here again! It was getting lonely without your presence... what with Tim manning the slave ship and all.

Zebra mussles may be a curse in some ways, but as the saying goes, it's an ill wind that doesn't blow some good--in this case, the water clarity, providing such surprising effects as levitating canoes.

What Really Happened At The X-Wing Launch

This following topic reminds me of a Martin Logan.....................and there was a Canadian stereo loudspeaker which worked in the reverse of this...........kind of a strained connection here, but I have to post a picture, right?

They were great speakers, not much in the upper frequencies though and hard to place in the room acoustically.

Teenagers!!!???

So the wife and I are watching this tv program this morning about how a womens business was ruined by a client who spread rumors and lies about this women on the interent. So out of curiousity I web searched my name and links came up to videos for a person with my name and in my state. Well low and behold they were of my teenage son, Wayne Jr. doing stunts they call Parkour.
Starts out innocent enough with him doing various flips and backflips, then moves to him doing things like backflips off of structures and ends with him jumping from one building to another.

What happen to the days when the kids did safe things like smoking pot and listening to music.:D

Washington State Ferry in recent wind storm taken by a friend

You know artemis too?

A windy day on Puget Sound
http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/showthrea...052&page=64
The State of Washington (I lived in Puget Sound country for 40 years) has one of the largest passenger/vehicle ferry systems in the world. And sometimes it can get a little "lumpy". But the ferries keep running. These photos were taken at the Mukilteo Lighthouse Park on Oct. 18, 2007. Winds at 50+ mph. Shortly after these were taken, the loading capacity in vehicles was reduced by 1/2. "Issaquah" class ferries are 300 feet LOA, 78 feet beam, and displace 2477 tons unloaded. Ferry service is rarely shut down!

I know a friend of his (who I had thought to the pictures orginally) but they are amazing for people in this part of the world as we ride these things all the time in all kinds of weather and I have never seen anything like it here.

Loved his caption about not seeing any cars in the last picture anymore as they were most likely sweep further back into the other cars on the boat.

RE: High Power Job

Cool, but I don't see the point of walking/crawling the lines - my squirrels do that.

Were they only involved in close up inspections that day and not repairs?

I don't know what they were doing, inspection, maintenance, but I thought it was cool. I sure wouldn't do it. I think if your squirrels stay on one line they would be ok, but if they happened to touch another line at the same time it would be fatal to them.
