Music Organizer Software

Anyone use "Off-the-Shelf" software to organize their music collections? Does it work for CDs and vinyl? Any software that someone has tried and did not work well and there fore should be avoided?

I ran across this recently, and was attracted to the easy input (using a scanner to scan the bar code). However, it is not for LPs.

I know I could use Access or Excel (or some other possibilities) and manually design and build it myself, but sort of looking for a "Quick & Dirty" solution.

you might want to consider library software. i seem to remember that there was some available for the linux platform, developed in NZ or Aus, and free/shareware. but i haven't been able to find it.
