I appreciate the input I have received recently here...
So, I put a 20% deposit today on Vantages, Cinema, and Abyss after spending 5 hours at the store! Will not be able to install system for a month due to repairs in living room + guests after that. I've been kind of going nuts, and hopefully this should end soon. Some concerns I have:
1. Am I asking for big time trouble running these with an Onkyo 75w/ch receiver? I know this is much less than ideal, but can I get away with this? Dealer says I could for now... he thinks that the speakers efficient enough, and the Vantages bass is already self-amplified.
2. If and when I do upgrade, I will most likely get "budget" separates. Any opinions between Rotel, NAD, Outlaw, Emotiva, what else am I missing. (This is also HT, can't afford Krell etc).
2. I'd like to eventually get some rears that could match well not just in HT, but perhaps for some multi-channel music formats in my future. Which cost-efficient decision between used Aerius, or a clarity/mosaic/montage/vignette/somethingelse (Money is an issue at this point). Which of these are closest in "voicing" to the Vantage? Cannot wall mount.
Well, thanks again.
