I have long been a ML owner. Have Prodigy, Aerius i and Logos Center channel. They have all been in storage in PA for nearly 10 years!! Have all sorts of gear in two continents. Going to consolidate soon as retirement is closing in on me.
Looking to upgrade the Prodigy by doing some well planned and executed surgery. Looking for guidance - seems like the place to be.
Cheers!!

I own a pair of Prodigy speakers and new panels from Martin Logan really made a huge difference. Other than that, everything is still original. Lots of guys on here have gone active crossover on older speakers.

Thank you Robert.
My panels have maybe 800 hours of use on them. I will check them out and if required replace the panel, but I have my doubts as they are packed away in the original boxes. However, the caps maybe a different story.
I am leaning towards active crossovers with room correction through a dedicated computer. Maybe consider replacing the two woofers if deemed necessary. This is going to be a longer term project.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum Solitary Traveller (love the screen name). You sure seem like you’re on the right track with your long range plan. I’ve owned different models of Logans for years too. As of now I have a pair of 2001 Odysseys as my main speakers run by a Krell KSA 100MK II amp that was completely updated and recapped last year, and I also have a pair of 9A in storage right now. I also went to active crossover for the woofers and replaced all 4 woofers. The results were not subtle, they were amazing. I have new caps here but haven’t changed them out yet ( too many projects), I’ll get to them though. I too am retired and loving it, sounds like you will too. You’ll find all kinds of good info here on the active crossover change, it isn’t difficult at all unless you have 4 thumbs😂. Look forward to following your progress.

Thank you Dan.

Your posts prompted me to join! I saw the hand drawn schematics by knowledgeable folks here and the parts list for the upgrade and I knew I had hit pay-dirt!

I too would like to replace all 4 woofers. Purifi has my attention for now. I was in Munich High End Show 2024 and heard a system with complete SW based crossover and room correction. It was great. Obviously they had a lot of tools to guide them to perfection. It gave me something to aspire to.

I am into immersive music. My set up in Dubai has 7.2.4 (plus VOG) obviously not ML and not electrostat panels but AMT tweeters. Lot of figuring to do.

Cheers!

That sounds like an awesome system! And it’s a really cool part of this whole hobby, the fact that there are so many ways to go with a system. I’ll always have my Odyssey based system but lately I’ve fallen into the rabbit hole of low powered 300B SET amp and full range high sensitivity folded horn speakers. I have a kit arriving tomorrow (6 1/2” Fostex full range speaker) I built the Elekit 8600S amp kit and absolutely love it. Jazz and vocals sound utterly amazing on this amp. But my Odysseys would eat that amp for lunch so they’ll never see it for making tunes. Sure is nice and I am so lucky at this point in my life to be able to have different systems like this, that’s what we work our lives away to enjoy as far as I’m concerned. So carry on, I’m sure we’ll talk more here and you’ll find many highly knowledgable people here that are also very friendly. This is probably the best audio forum I’m on.

I've just paired my 2011 ML Summits with a Border Patrol SE300B amp.
I thought it might lack power or bass but it's the best thing I've heard at home.
I've migrated from Tannoy Buckinghams, so a dramatic change (fir the better).
