Hello I have the Summit X speakers with the pass X250.5 and a Wadia 381 up front. I wanted to up grade to the Pass XA100.5. Do you think this would be a worthwhile up grade for the money on a used pair??? Can anyone describe the sound difference between the X250.5 and the XA100.5?? Thanks Russ

Peter I have the Summits 41" from the wall behind them and 29" from the side wall. I have the system 2-channal set up only with the amp and cdp close to the floor on short stands slightly behind speakers.

Summit X speakers are finally in the house. They arrived safe today. Took almost 3 months.

Rich I did call Martin Logan. I talked to Brian in sales. He told me that I have to communicate through my dealer. He also said the speakers will get built. He would not give me a direct answer to the situation.

It's going on 8 weeks and still no Summit X's speakers Is there anyone that might have a idea on what is going on. My dealers keeps telling me 2-3 more weeks it's now been 8 weeks.

I purchased a pair of Summit X's in Dark Cherry back in early July, 5 weeks ago. I still have not got them yet due to Martin Logan saying they are waiting on Parts. This is what my dealer is telling me. Does anyone know what is going on ????? Thanks Russ

Not a big fan of Pipe Organ Music, Some of this kind of music is fine but I personally I don't own any. Is there some Pipe Organ Music that is recommend ? Russ

Thanks everyone for your honest input. I was just looking to add a new piece of equipment. Probably will not go the Sub. route. I like to listen to Sound tracks like by James Horner and other classical music. I also like Jazz, rock, and some folk music. Thanks Again Russ

Kevin I guess I am trying to get more of a tube sound without buying a tube amp. The Rowlands are nice amps ,but they can be very detailed. They will bring out the bad in a poor recording. I read as many articles on the JC-1's and they are as close to a tube amp that your going to get at that...

Thanks everyone for the information. It looks like I am on the right track. My chair set at 10' back verses 8' sounds much better, wider sound stage, center stage is not so small, not as bright,and deeper image. I will also try the flashlight toe-in techinque. Thank You Russ
