Yesterday they were recording a video at my restaurant, it was for a flamenco guitar duo. It was only a video, the album was recorded a couple of weeks before. They were using a single studio active monitor (mackie HR824) to syncronize the takes, all I can say is WOW, that damned thing sounded amazing, of course the signal it was reproducing came directly from the mixer, but non the least, it sounded so natural that if not by the difference in volume i couldn't had tale it was on. I think ML is moving in the right direction with the new line (summit, vantage) It's hard to get a better matched amplifier that one custom build for the speakers. Plus using a high quality source and balanced cables to the monitors does seem to be a simple musical path,

just my two cents.

It's funny how you can tell live music is being played two rooms and 100 feet away sometimes.

When we get to that point with recorded music fooling us, what will be next?
