I would suppose "hybrid" SACD falls into that category too. Must be played on a SACD palyer?

A hybrid SACD is a Redbook CD and an SACD combined on the same disc using 2 layers. A hybrid SACD is designed to be compatible with SACD and standard CD players but you'll need an SACD player to take advantage of the higher resolution SACD layer.

SACDs have been produced in the following combinations:
2 channel SACD only
2 channel/multichannel SACD only
2 channel SACD/Redbook (hybrid)
2 channel SACD/Multichannel SACD/Redbook (hybrid)

Most SACD's produced these days seem to be hybrids.

They also have MONO SACD's - just a few of them though...
