Any advice/tips on how to fix a electrical ground loop problem which is causing a humming sound? I seem to have developed one in my system and it is quite annoying. Thanks.

you have to isolate and identify the source of the hum. first place to look is if you have a cablevision feed to your TV. that can/will cause hum even if you're not watching TV.

after that, remove one piece of gear at a time until the hum dissapears.

once you have the compenent or combination of components that cause the hum you need to figure out what is wrong

- bad wiring/ground in circuit
- bad wiring/ground in receptacle
- AC lines interfering with line-level cables

the list goes on, there are many threads in many forums that have discussed the problem and solutions, but this is a start.
