With the recent catastrophe in Haiti, I thought that some MLC members might want to know about some easy ways to contribute to the relief efforts.
Yele Haiti is a non-profit foundation established by Wyclef Jean. For those not familiar with him, Jean is a Haitian-born musician who came to fame in the 90s as the leader of the band called the Fugees. He has passionately supported efforts to aid his home country for many years now. Here is the link to the Yele Haiti website: http://www.yele.org/
You can contribute directly to the relief efforts through the site (the site states that 100% of the contributed funds will go to relief efforts, or you can simply text "Yele" to 501501. If you text, $5 will automatically go to relief efforts, which will be billed to your mobile phone account.
You can also contribute through the Red Cross at http://www.redcross.org/portal/site...toid=15c0c5a210826210VgnVCM10000089f0870aRCRD or by texting "Haiti" to 90999.
