Lots of folks have recommended periodically vacuuming ML stat panels, and indeed I have noticed much improvement (esp in humid FL) after doing so. However, like oil changes, air/water filter changes, etc. we tend to forget about such periodic maintenance tasks. As a reminder, I've written a vacuuming schedule on a brightly colored post-it note, affixed to the back of one of my ML's. It's invisible from the front, but easily viewed from behind as a constant visual reminder. I've also programmed a permanent quarterly task alarm in my Palm/Treo as a backup reminder.
