Mark your calendars - Its official

September 19 has been proclaimed:yell: FRANK ZAPPA DAY:clap:

Attended the statue dedication of Baltimore's native son at the Enoch Pratt Free Library today whereby the mayor declared September 19 as Frank Zappa Day in Baltimore.

After the speaches, Dweezil's band Zappa plays Zappa performed. They were incredible as always. Every time i hear them The Dweez seems to be getting better and better:guitarman:

I just arrived in Baltimore tonight. Ill be here until tomorrow night.

I've watched Dweezil & band on YouTube and he really is getting good. Check out Black Napkins and The Torture Never Stops. Looks like some of the band members from Frank's old bands.

I saw Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention in '68 in Orlando. That was my first real concert. I was 11.

That's incredible Satch! /jealous

I missed it knowingly yesterday, but I played 1-20-76 yesterday anyway. :music:

I did record Dweezil last year on the eve of Thanksgiving at the Fox, great show.

I still write him in on ballots when I can justify voting for those officially on it. In high school I had a Zappa for President bumper sticker on my car.
