I need help with deciding what I need/should get. I've been looking at this

http://www.usb-instruments.com/oscillo_stingray.html

It looks really neat but would almost prefer to not have to depend on a computer.....again. So, if you use one and have more experience then me (not hard to do) I welcome all input and suggestions.

Thanks-

Hi,
I've used PC scopes, but have always preferred a regular scope, with 'real' knobs and buttons, as opposed to ones you click on the screen. Another possibility is to get a used scope on eBay (or similar). That's what I did, got a used Tektronix 475 in excellent condition for under $300, complete with built in DVM and 2 probes.

HTH,
Peter
