Recently I realized how much those posts stink: playing a Reference Recording organ record (The Orchestral Organ - Jan Kraybill) they were rattling on low frequencies pedal notes!
That took a lot of time to detect: in the first place I thought the rattling noise came from the panel (Oh my...!), then from the cabinet (a loose internal component?).
After forcing the bananas into the radial hole (instead of the axial one), the rattle disappeared!
It's the plastic mobile part of the post: it rattles when it's not firmly held in place by the internal spring, which must be compressed (i.e. you must use the transversal - radial - hole).
So, now everything's fine but... I was wondering if someone tried the "upgrade with new classy binding posts" way!
