Hi
Glad to see so much Kind of Blue here, my favourite album of all times! My choices:

1 Miles Davis: Kind of Blue
2 Miles Davis: My Funny Valentine
3 John Coltrane: "Complete Atlantic Recordings", or Giant Steps if 6 CDs is cheating...
4 Chaka Khan & Rufus Live Stompin at the Savoy
5 Steely Dan AJA
6 Simon&Garfunkel "Concert in Central Park"
7 Dave Holland Big Band "What Goes Around"
8 Silje Nergaard "Nightwatch"
9 Marvin Gaye Lets Get in On
10 Stevie Ray Vaughan In Step

And, now the alternative list, if I could play LPs on Logans...

Pat Metheny Group - White Album
Joe Wilder Quartet - Jazz from Peter Gunn
1300 Oslo - Live in the North
Victor Feldman - In London Vol. 2
Chet Baker - The Touch of Your Lips
Maurice Andre - Six Concertos Baroques
Steely Dan - Cant Buy a Thrill
Bill Wymans Rythm Kings - Just for a Thrill
Meters - Struttin'
Van Morrison - Live from San Francisco

This is fun!

It aint Hi-Rez but.....

If I was stuck with the same discs over and over. It would have to be the hard-drive in my computer. I have a very eclectic mix of about 2800 mp3's loaded. Plus several movies. You would have to kill me if I was stuck listening to the same 10 discs over and over.

- Steeley Dan (Gaucho)
- The Doors (Greatest Hits)

- Diana Krall (Live In Paris)

Along with the introduction of the CD came the record label samplers. These compilations are an excellent way to become familiar with a wide variety of artists and genres of music. Ask the "expert" at your favorite store for the names of artists or record labels that produce the type of music which interests you.
