Yes...I am currently using it for overseas call. First year is free then $20 monthly charge. It works similar to Vonage utilizing VOIP technology and a good internet connection is a must. Usage is unlimited.

Ah. So there is a monthly charge? I thought it was $20 for the year or is that for the overseas calls only?

Oops sorry I meant $20 for each additional years you need the service. The way it works for me is I bought 2 jacks. Each will have its own US phone number...preferably choose the area code where you are local. Now one jack is now in Manila. I can talk to anyone over there without any risk of international charging.
