I keep hearing great things about Quad speakers on various forums. I've never had a chance to hear them and there does not seem to be any stores that sell them in the US, at least in Texas. How do the latest from both companies compare?

I'm really sold on this program, especially since ORC was added. I would love to hear it on a pair of CLX speakers.

The woofers have their own amps. If you're only powering the panel? Somebody mentioned that a ML person said all you need is 100w. Would that give you all the head room you need?

Does the bass transition seamlessly to the panels? Are there any charts or other scientific evidence that shows it? I'm just asking because I keep seeing these accusations that they don't and the golden-eared can hear it.

I put my spiked speakers on 1" planks so that they are easier to move on our wooden floors. Also, our sofa has noticeably "deepened" in the sweet spot sitting position. So I raised the back of the speakers about half an inch. In theory, does this change the presentation or the sound?

Seems every time somebody wants to dismiss ML speakers that is their first argument. A recent post on the Planar forum of Audio Asylum again made such a statement. I find my 13a's integrate bass quite well.

I flipped on the "mid bass switch" because it they seemed a little bass light. But it sounds a little to bass heavy now. Does the bass adjustment work with the switch on, to fine tune? And I assume I should wait to use ARC until everything is dialed in?

In the owner's manual for my 13a's, it suggests that I upgrade my power cable. Doesn't that seem wrong? You just spent $18,000 and they're telling you the included power cable isn't good enough ???

I bought mine used and ML just increased the price to $18,000. Neoliths are now a cool $120,000. That's a 50% increase since release price. I wonder how many they've sold?

Will this drive a pair of 13a's well? My concern is the low wattage.

Before I ran the PBK, I had the controls set at about neutral. It seemed a bit bloated. Now I ran the PBK and it seems a bit lean. Can I add more bass through the PBK or do I need to turn it off and try to tune it manually?

Will I hear a huge difference? I know this is probably a dumb question, but it is a huge investment. I've had the Ascents for about 18 years.
