    Vantage or Summits?

I've owned both the Vantages and Summits in a room a little smaller than yours. Both sound excellent and are worthy purchases. The Vantage only gives up a little to the Summit in terms of bass response (the Summit can shake your floorboards it goes so deep) and overall dimensionality. I love my...

Jim Power - A great asset to the MartinLogan Corporation

Three Cheers For Jim! Tom and the others are absolutely correct: Jim Powers is a great guy. Very responsive and helpful. In fact, I have found everyone at ML to be extremely friendly and customer-focused. A rarity nowadays. Thanks Jim and everyone else at ML!

    Minimum room dimensions for Summit?

First, I apologize for the redundancy of this question. I know variations of it have been asked several times before--but I'm still vague about the answer. So... For a room measuring 14.5' w x 21' l x 9" h would I better be off with a Vantage or a Summit? I've read some posts saying the...

Summits broken in and lovin em!

Thanks for the insight, JD. Your assessment jibes with others I've read.

Summits broken in and lovin em!

Sounds like I'm right at the edge with a 304 sq. ft. room. Guess I'll hang with the Vantage until told otherwise. Thanks.

Summits broken in and lovin em!

Vantage vs. Summit? "I was really excited about the Vantage, but the Summits really are another game altogether." TonePub, Can you briefly describe the differences you hear? Like many others, I wonder what the extra $5k buys, especially considering how gosh darn good the Vantage sounds.

New way to protect your Summits and Vantages

Seller appears MIA I, too, saw them on A'Gon and asked about buying a pair. The seller wrote back saying he'd sell me a pair. When I tried to place an order he wrote back saying the project was dead. He never replied to my follow up about why.

New way to protect your Summits and Vantages

If you want to move quantity, place ads on AudiogoN, Ebay and Audio Asylum. You'll hit your 100 quota in not time. A simple website linked to search engines will do the trick nicely, too.

New way to protect your Summits and Vantages

How do we order? I'd really like to get a pair of your covers for my Vantages. Can you put up a post with ordering info and PayPal address?

    Front wall sound treatment?

Acoustic Paneling Regardless of what it's called, if it's OC 703/705 fiberglass then it's good for room acoustics. Most of the specialty stuff is either fiberglass or foam. All they do is wrap it in something pretty and upcharge it by eleventy billion dollars.
