Pairing a Amp with Sequel II's?

I've owned a pair of Sequels since October, 1988. Not sure about the Sequel II's but my Sequels had a laid back sound, not in your face. I chose the 200 watts per channel Adcom GFA 555 for my amp because it was supposed to pair well with the Sequels. Today I'm still using the same combination...

    New to me Sequel II’s

Thank you! If I have a problem with my woofers, which I'm thinking I eventually will since they're over 20 years old, I'll pick those up.

    New to me Sequel II’s

Could I ask you which model they recommended? I'm assuming you purchased it and have tried them out. How are they?

can any home receiver power martin logan electrostatic speakers like source

I'm late to this party but for FWIW I have a pair of Sequels that I purchased in October, 1988. I changed the panels sometime in the late 1990s. I've been driving them with an Adcom 200 Watt GFA555 amp and they've sounded great. A few years ago I hooked it up to a Sony receiver. The difference...

Who makes the amps inside Martin Logan speakers and subs??

That's quite a HUGE markup if that's the case. I'm in the wrong business.

Making a CLX into a CLS?

Hi! I've seen the electronics that go into the electrostatics first hand. I've owned a pair since 1988 and have been following them on and off. There's no reason why they couldn't make just the panels and put the electronics somewhere near the base. They did it for the CLS in the past so ML is...

Making a CLX into a CLS?

I was watching some Youtube videos of the CLX at CES. Why couldn't Martin Logan just sell the voice panel and not the large flat "bass" panel? The bass could be handled by a separate subwoofer somewhere further from the panel. The panel would be much, much thinner than the older CLS panels but...

Anyone experience the Mikros 70 yet?

If I offended anyone, I apologize. I actually should have just said "fruit" product. I guess "fruity" kind of sounds...well...fruity. Yes, I meant Apple. The brochure and the data on the Martin Logan site specifically states that the remote functions work with iPods and Apple products. I'm...

    Sequel II woofer replacement

I remember blowing my woofers out in my Sequels. This one bass heavy song tested subwoofers to the max and well, blew my over 10 year old woofers out, but man, did it rock while it was going. I called ML and at the time they had them in stock (sorry, I'm no help). I'll tell you this, once you...

Anyone experience the Mikros 70 yet?

I'm just about to purchase a pair of Micros 70 headphones and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with them? I'm sure they sound great at $150 but I wish they didn't assume that everyone owns a fruity product. Why in the world did they feel the need to include a remote for one company...

OH YEAH! Now you're talking! I have a smile on my face that's huge.

CLXs on display at DaVinci Media in Milwaukee - 25th Anniversary Sale in progress!

Wow, such fantastic speakers in that room. Too bad the "theater screen" is a itsy-bitsy 42" LCD. Man, I would have a 106", 1080p front projector with that system if I had a choice.

    ML selling via Amazon!

I don't think ML will be asking Amazon to pull the products as Amazon is the only approved online dealer for ML! I read it on the ML website.

    Any word on the CLX?

Thanks for the replies from you and others. I'm in no hurry at all. Also, thanks for the price range I should be looking into. I would have seen $2500 for a CLS and thought that was the going price. I'll keep my eyes open and hold my checkbook nearby.
