For those who don't get what the first pic is, that is how my system images when playing.

The last pic shows GIK acoustics 242 art panels above the sofa

Nice setup Kedar. What cables do you use, and who makes the rack you're using?

Those GIK art panels look really good.

Amazing imaging; you can actually count the number of musicians! :)

So how do you like the Aurender? Have you compared it to a Mac Mini- based system, as you were supposed to?

cables various as per my cables thread. Virtual dynamics and Sanders are regulars, but in the pic I have graditech and audio quest k2. The usb is audio quest Diamond. Will be trying crystal cables tonight just because they have the best looks, I.e. They are thin as a string so you can barely see them.

The rack was custom made by rogoz audio from Poland, they make racks to any size, shape and colour spec. And under a grand. I could have it in a shape that will make room for the power amp in the middle below so that it sits there without it's vibrations affecting the rest.

The aurender into the lampi is by far the best source I have heard. It's blown away what my dac 8 did, what a Sony 9000es can do, and a 10k French cd player a friend of mine brought over which he prefers to his 12k emm labs. That said, the aurender is not with the price up so a modded desktop should be the way to go but I have not been able to compare it yet.

Bernard what the lampi does is it gives more sound stage (that actually auto corrected to soyabean) and makes the singer sound taller. You get the sound coming from the top of the speakers also. Without that the air just falls flat. Also the shun mook Diamond resonators make a big, big difference. These are supports that go under the pre and the dac and immediately lift up the vocals, clean the bass up, widen the stage. They are 20 times better than still points. Once you hear them you can't do without. And takes a moment to see the difference. You can borrow them from the cable company

These are the shun mook diamond resonators. Put three of these under a component people to take your sound to a new level

Nice setup. I had Summits a while back, great speakers. I would recommend pulling the MLs out if you can and adding bass traps, will make a world of difference..

Those Summits were sold off, so were the ARCs, and the L5 was upgraded since. Great speakers though, I tried bass traps and diffusers behind the panels and prefer the wall naked. I find bass traps deaden the sound and make it less lively. I do have light absorbers on the back wall though.

Was no space to pull them out further. Still prefer Analysis Audio in panels, but poor resale value, and inching towards horns, but they are expensive. I have therefore not ruled out buying Logans again, though would be Montis. but if I do go Logans it would be subs and MCh and I would get another identical hybrid for the centre
