Bryston / Audio Physic

This sounded very good as well. The Bryston "Player" was playing from USB sticks and is incapable of streaming. Didn't really see the point.

What did you reckon to the Cabasse setup? I seriously rate La Sphere as right up there amoung the greats.

Osborn / Consonance

Osborn are Aussie speakers. They always sound great at hi-fi shows. Close up of the big 845 powered amp especially for Justin........

Epos / Creek

Always love Epos (for low-end kit). One of these would be a perfect bedroom or study system.

Paradigm

At first thought I mistook this room for the Fisher Price "My first system" room. Sober reminder of the factory from where ML comes.......

Magnepan / Sanders

Sounded wonderful, being driven by an Oppo SACD of all things.

The 1.7s are $2,700 here. The Australian dollar is worth more than the $USD at the moment. Remind me, how much does the 1.7 cost in the US. Greedy pigs.

WAR Audio / Bakoon Satri

Third-best sound at show. There was some really good sounds here. They were using a Korg MR-2000S DSD recorder with live and LP sourced DSD recordings. Pretty cool room all up. I sat in here and listened for quite a while too!

It's all that tunnelling to get them Down-Under that makes them so expensive :)

What, no pics of ARC ?

Great coverage, BTW.

That first pic of Melbourne could just as well have been of Ottawa. On most of the pics I was wondering - where are all the people?

I want that Sutherland Nixie! I saw it at RMAF and practically drooled! How did those 845 tube amps sound? Thanks.

It was early (around 8AM on Saturday morning, before the show).

Here's a sneak-peak at the forthcoming ARC pics........
