I have a Stage X and I auditioned both and the X does sound a little clearer, more detailed and crisper and integrates with the panel better but when I auditioned both, the stage was still $3000. Now that it's $1500, that's a hell of a deal. I ordered one just to put in my bedroom.

You should definitely do it. I have all Martin Logan speakers in my setup. Ethos, Stage X, four Motion 15's and two Descent i subwoofers powered by Mcintosh amps. Three MC601 and a MC205, sounds great. I used to have them hooked up with Emotiva amps, XPR-5 and XPR-2. They sounded great also...

Nice set up. How do the EFX's sound? I haven't heard them yet. Can't find a place that has them to demo.

When in doubt, buy Mcintosh!! I did and couldn't be happier.

I'd go with the 15's. I have 4 that I use as my rears and they sound fantastic!!! They can definitely be used as fronts for the time being. They're more than capable.
