Descent i sub connection in stereo mode???

Question, for those of you who have this sub, how do you have it connected from your processor to listen to two channel stereo? The manual states the if you're going to use the sub for both 2 channel and multichannel, that you should use the LFE in for multichannel and the right and left in for 2 channel listening. Do any of you have it hooked up like that? What do you guys recommend? In my theater room, I have it hooked up to a Mcintosh MX151 and in my bedroom I have it hooked up to an Emotiva UMC-200.
