You should definitely do it. I have all Martin Logan speakers in my setup. Ethos, Stage X, four Motion 15's and two Descent i subwoofers powered by Mcintosh amps. Three MC601 and a MC205, sounds great. I used to have them hooked up with Emotiva amps, XPR-5 and XPR-2. They sounded great also...

When in doubt, buy Mcintosh!! I did and couldn't be happier.

I'd go with the 15's. I have 4 that I use as my rears and they sound fantastic!!! They can definitely be used as fronts for the time being. They're more than capable.

Honestly, it doesn't. With the bass coming out of the ethos and the 2 Descent i's, it's not an issue.

If you can, go to a Magnolia Design Center and ask them to demo the stage X with a Mcintosh MC601.
