Happy Thanksgiving to all my MLC friends. What wine do you plan to pair with your Turkey Day feast? We use an Emeril Lagasse recipe called the Funky Bird that is brined for a few days and then rubbed with his spice blend prior to going in the oven and then is served with a chocolate poblano mole. We paired it last year with the Dirt Worshipper from Denner Vineyards which was magical and will do so again this year. Let me know what your perfect T-Day pairing is.

Joseph Phelps has a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc they send to us each year around this time; great with turkey. This year our daughter is cooking so we will also be bringing a couple of Pinots, one from Freeman and another from Benovia. My friend up in Napa has a wine touring business and he finds some amazing small wineries (able to meet and talk to the owners and winemakers) with absolute fantastic wines. Best and Happy Thanksgiving.

Have never tried Sauvignon Blanc with turkey, I love it, wife hates it.

Turley Zins, mmmmm. The Uberoth is my favorite, though quite pricey.
