Sleepysurf, I wonder if it is a synergy thing. When I installed my 5150 I noticed an immediate improvement over my previous Sunfire/Rotel/Ascent setup. I did not notice further improvement over time, but my ears are still in training. I'm interested to read your thoughts after the burn in period.

Butler 5150 I enjoy my 5150 very much. I do not think you will be disappointed with any model in the current Butler lineup. I hope to have a pair of Monads in the not too distant future. There was a pair on Audiogon for 8k for a short while.

I sold my Sunfire Cinema Grand for a Butler 5150 about a year ago and have no regrets. This amp sounds wonderful, has plenty of power, runs cool and is built like a tank. My speakers are Ascenti mains, Cinemai center, Scripti surrounds, and a Rel sub.
