i think your stands are worth some serious $$$$ if you sell them. I would suspect spliting them would yield a higher gross. they are no longer available - only the sound anchors

i would suggest looking at a electrocompient dac (it is very good imo). it look a tubed audio aero prima dac II at 3x's the price to displace it in my system...

thanks for the heads up on the Exile Xtec65... i will look them up. How are the crossovers ? that is where i found the ID lacking. when i changed them out for a pair of dynaaudio's GT's, i was blown away ( i sold the dyna drivers and kept the crossovers and used them with the ID).

i wont run tube amps - too much hassle. however, small signal tubes are a lot less hassle. my current setup is pretty darn good and reliable. (ss amps, hybrid pre, and tube dac)

i tried synergestic designer reference and it was a great cable but a little rolled off in the top end (very deep bass though) and the satori was very uninvolving (ie bland). if you want a flat out neutral cable - would suggest xlo signature or audience

would suggest looking at used amps - muse, belles, and classe. all of them are know for their sonic capabilities, musicality, reliability, and excellent company service if needed.

i have tried mit cables and have not been to impressed with them. in regards to a best bang for the buck digital cable that is neutral and really digs deep - i like the xlo signature 2.

i have been experimenting with a descent sub and the best spot i have found so far is "behind the cls panels on the back wall (centered) it loads the room and does wonders for the imaging.. havent tried by the listening position but i will as soon as i get some long interconnects.
