I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the VanDenHul "The First" or "The Second" non-metal ICs? I've heard mixed reviews, and wondered if anyone has owned or auditioned them. There are no dealers anywhere close to me that carry them...

Richard, those are very old interconnects. I'm not saying that they are not good, just that they are old.

Yeah, I know what you mean about old gear not being desireable.

I mean, who would want a 30 year old tuner like a Marantz 112, or a pair of 20-year-old speakers like Martin Logan SL3's... :D

Pots and kettles, bro, pots and kettles.

Actually Van den Hul still makes the First and Second carbon-conductor IC's. They are currently listed on their website...

Never had them, never heard them, but if high resistance and high price is your bag, go for it.

Liquid Ceramic Interconnects.

Check out these, no wire at all. Liquid Ceramic Interconnects.

I did hear these last year at CAS (Chicago Audio Society). The wires are good but I think the speakers (also from Cerious) were a big part of it.
