I noticed when tweaking my playstation3 that if you switch the Dynamic Control setting to OFF that you get a much better sound quality from DVD's and Blu-Ray Movies \ Audio.:music:
I believe the setting defaults to Automatic.
 
Thanks for the tip! What are the best settings for output is best from the ps3? I have a 7.1 setup. Thanks
 
Yeah I get peeved when I hook up a lot of new BluRay players or even standard DVD players, that the dynamic range control is default to ON. It should sound better with it off. I assume its the same with the PS3. DRC simply compresses the signal so you can play it at a lower overall volume but still have it loud enough to hear everything. Thats the gist of it anyway.
