I'm having trouble searching the archives for this answer, which I'm sure has been covered in the past....so please point me in the right direction...

I'm driving my Sources with an MF X-150. Here are some thoughts on the combination:
-A bit analytical at medium volume, but decent after 30 minute warm up.
-Underpowered and underdetailed at low volumes. Jazz gets underperformed, as does my favorite Erik Satie vinyl.
-Overall "OK". The Source is capable of so much and I feel like they're underperforming with the x-150 at the controls.

Does anyone have thoughts on a viable upgrade in the $1000.00 range? I'm open to used, tubes, integrateds, etc.

I am moving, and the room they will be well placed in is 15'x20' with an 18' high cathedral ceiling. Yikes! I think I need more power!

Thank you!

In that price range, for new equipment, you can look at either Rotel or NAD.

If you aren't opposed to used equipment, a lot of options will open up in the sub $1000 price range.
