I have Vistas and Dynamos at home. My cherished Monsoon flat computer speakers seem to be malfunctioning so I'm going to be purchasing a work system in the next few weeks.

I started Googling "computer speakers" and found the A5+, then kept escalating in price as all good people do:

- Audioengine A5+ (powered, ~$470 pair, natural wood)
- airmotiv 4 (powered, ~$400 pair)
- Adam ARTist 3 (powered, $750{guitar center}-$1,000, pair)
- Martin Logan Motion LX16 (~$800, pair)
- Mini Maggie (~$1,500, pair)

I'll probably bring one of my Dynamo subwoofers or buy a dedicated one for work.

I want the system to sound really good at "talking"-level volume. I listen for six hours a day not having "ear fatigue" is really important.

I listen to classical and new age, but like to crank Katy Perry when everyone else goes home for the day.

I don't know which amp yet (or if I need one) but the Peachtree audio iDecco looks interesting to hook up to my computer or iTouch. If I get powered speakers I'll probably buy the Audioengine D1 Premium 24-Bit DAC to hook to the computer.

Any opinions on the speakers above?

Thanks!!!
