Hey everyone,

Having is issues with my sub. It's plugged into a panamax 5300 and keeps blowing fuses. Have had this sub for almost 2 years with no issues before... It has been plugged into the 5300 for over a year. Had a 2 amp/ 250v. I have tried putting smaller, same, and bigger. It still blows once I turn it on... Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

John

Sounds like it has developed a dead short somewhere in the electronics . Does it blow the fuse right away or as it heats up. if it is right away it sounds like a direct short somewhere.

Yes. It is a short at the power supply. It is a switching design, so there is no need for a power transfomer. Contact ML service department, they will send to you a new one. Easy to change, only four cables with connectors (difficult to take them off) , and five screws. Ask also for the 4A fuses. Happy listening,
