I suppose that there were many concerned that when Logitech bought Slim Devices that the quality would slip. One thing I did notice, is that the SB3, the Duet, and the Transporter all use different DAC's. Would the new one in the Duet be considered inferior to the one that was in the SB3...

Would this new device still be considered essentially equal to the current SB3, just with a nicer remote that displays album art? Or is it inferior in some way?

I certainly understand where you are coming from. I also have a mixed PC/MAC household. I've dedicated an IMac that's in my library to connect the external HDD to and it serves as the portal to all my Apple lossless files stored on the hard drive. I don't however have an external DAC, and...

I'm afraid I don't have too much to add to this except to confirm that the Krell does indeed exceed 100, and if I remember right goes to 151. Not that I would want to listen at that volume. I have a 16x25 room for mine, and seldom see the need to go past 55-65 to acheive a reasonable volume...
