    System #110 (Summit)

Nielsen, I don't believe in audible differences between DACs (neither digtal sources without modifications). This is not my opinion, I think it's a fact totally demonstrated. If you are interested in have a look: http://www.matrixhifi.com (in spanish)...

    System #110 (Summit)

It says that is the solid state amplifier with the most tube like sound. Well, I think is simply because it has a so greater control than others that the sound is very easy and no fatigue at all. I don't believe in anything more (class A, MOSFETS, bla bla bla ... the loudspeakers are the unique...

    System #110 (Summit)

Hello, jtwrace, the "rear spikes" are simply a couple of rubber cubes usually used to prevent wall impacts when opens the door. With this solution I incline the Summit toward the listener ( this is me :D ) so the focus and the detail are increased notably, in my opinion. Pcar928fan, I didn't...

Odd hiss coming from one of my Sequels

Precisely I have a similar problem, only in one of my Summits. At 60-70 centimeters high the left one produce a sparkling sound that don't affect the sound but it's continuos until the loudspeakers is turn off or there's no signal (the blue led turns off). Any ideas about a posible reason...

Robin, the right plant isn't real, there's not enough light in this square, but shhhhh, no one realize it.

    System #110 (Summit)

Joey, blame it on the window, it has to be clean and a path is necessary! But don't worry, my room isn't regular and the sweet spot is precisely centered in front of TV, and the sound is awesome. Regards.

    New Summits out there

Yes, dark cherry/black aluminium finish, a little dark have been better for my taste.

    New Summits out there

Robin, the dimensions are 20 m2, in an irregular room (asimetrical walls), but in a few months I'll move to other house, and the living room will be about 30-35 m2, with sonic isolation ... then the Emitter II will reach the step sixty in its volume's scale! I'd post my system in the "Member...

    prodigy vs. summit

Summary of the Hi-Fi World article: - David Price begins the article talking about the Quads 989, 30 lines since the Summit's apears ... The first comparation it's in favor of summit's: "The ML are built a hundred times better..." - Next, he talks about the electrostatic panels in general...

    prodigy vs. summit

Hola Roberto, first, sorry for my english, I will try to explain my ideas. The word "ideal" gives to my phrase a diferent sense from your interpretation. Of course, these amplifiers can drive the Summits, maybe in a good way, but we can't say that Summit's are an easy load ... and if I trust...

    prodigy vs. summit

I totally disagree with this affirmation. It is possible that the measurement was incorrect, but a load as that the graph shows is very complex and only the amplifiers with great delivery of current and the ones that doubles the power with the impedance down to 1 ohm are able to move these...

    prodigy vs. summit

http://www.hi-fiworld.co.uk/hfw/currentish.html Maybe these "good results" could be "magical results" with the appropiate amplifier. I suposse the measurement is correct, however, I am not in agreement with which it's said in the magazine about the Summits. Generally , in the Hi-Fi World...

    prodigy vs. summit

Hola Roberto, I choose this way, an ASR Emitter II to move the panel of the Summit's with iron hands. In the April issue of the Hi-FI World magazine, appers the impedance's curve of the Summit's: Below 10k impedance does not overcome 1 ohm! Best regards.
