    Theos over ESL....?

Other than a really nice wood cabinet, what does your three grand get you? Anyone compared both? Do I understand the ESL is a 'new generation' kind of panel that is being used for the first time in that speaker? All comments welcome.

    Electro-motion thread -they are comin'

I heard a pair of a store on the other side of town. Was VERY impressed. They sounded fabulous and looked great. Would not be out of place in a condo or apartment. Big sound, but not big visually.

    Electro-motion thread -they are comin'

That's what my local store told me. Most anticipated new speaker from ML in a decade and they're not bothering with them. Yeah, real smart.

    Electro-motion thread -they are comin'

My local best buy/magnolia told me they aren't stocking them. They said they'd only be sold at real Magnolia stores. Bummer. We don't have any real Magnolia stores.

For home theater - two Dynamo's or one Grotto?

So you have six thousand dollars to spend on subwoofers. I'm happy for you. Thanks for sharing.

For home theater - two Dynamo's or one Grotto?

Thanks, interesting article. As so often happens I thought the comments were as helpful as the article. I guess the one or two sub controversy will continue to rage on for many years.

    Blockbuster online is pretty slick

After TEN SOLID YEARS with Netflix I dropped them because their blu-ray selection SUCKS. I've been with Blockbuster online now for two months. Works very slick, cheaper than Netflix and I have a queue of THIRTY blu-rays none of which are available at Netflix. Check it out, they have a free...

For home theater - two Dynamo's or one Grotto?

70 views and no comments on one vs. two subs? I guess ML people aren't into subs that much....

For home theater - two Dynamo's or one Grotto?

Will two Dynamo's (the original, little ones) work better that a single Grotto for home theater? Any comments welcome.

    Martin Logan Box speaker?

Fascinating. Thanks for the link. I could not find it anywhere on the ML site, not products, not news, nowhere. So ML figured out some people might be interested in a Motion Speaker that doesn't have plastic looking boxes and 1975 era binding posts. Good for them. I'll look forward to...

    Martin Logan Box speaker?

I read that thread and didn't see anything about the Box speaker I was referring to. Not a model number, description, zip. Here's a link describing the new FX2 and C2, complete with pictures. They are in the 'Motion' series and do not look anything like the box speaker in this picture. So...

    Martin Logan Box speaker?

In the Stereophile CES coverage they have a blurb about Martin Logan. There's a pic of three ML Electrostats next to a box speaker similar in design and size to an LS3/5A. So what is that speaker? Something new from ML?

    If Not Logans...

Harbeth If I had the budget and the room (I'm close on both, but not quite close enough) I would get a pair of Harbeth SHL5's in a heartbeat. I'm a huge fan of the Quad ESL-57. Harbeth reminds me of big full-range quads. :music:

How high is the new Electromotion?

Did I read somewhere that the new ML 'budget' (two grand) speaker coming out in March is 34" tall? How's that going to work? The Aerius (which I owned a loooong time ago) was 48" tall. Thanks for any info.
