I have the same question. I've had my Odyssey's about the same amount of time and have noticed no degradation. I have a pair of Aerius from early 90's which sound great. Why do yu think they need replacing?
Thanks Spike. I had considered your type of set-up but I really want a pure tube 2 channel system. As mentioned in other posts, my default solution is to just manually swap connections at the speaker (e.g. use banana plugs) - but like Rich, I was hoping for a more elegant solution.

I have a Sunfire pre/pro which has a tuner and it sounds fine. However, if I'm going to pull something over the "air" to listen to, I prefer to use my satelite tv music stations. They sound great and you can select the genre you're in the mood to hear.
I have Odyssey, Theater, and Aerius speakers and have always used Home Depot 12ga with them. I finally broke down and bought a pair of Audioquest Type 6 biwire for the Odysseys. I cannot hear any difference over the Home Depot 12ga. No plans to change the cables on the Theater and Aerius.
