    Bass Advice

Hi again Jonathan and thank you. Should the four subs be active bass traps as others have mentioned or would I be using them to fill in? I've never played around with more than 2 subs in a room. I'm just trying to understand the purpose of one in each corner so I can know what I'm listening for.

Thank you JonFo! I will read over both of your links. I've never critically listened to KEF's - just while wandering through Best Buy's Magnolia shop; which is never a good idea lol.

    Bass Advice

Thanks for your concise, honest advice Fidjii99 - Didn't sound harsh at all - I've worried the Summits are too big for the room and the dim's are a major, maybe even unsurmountable challenge - but they just sound sooooooooo good lol. I have a pair of VA Beethoven Baby Grand's. They sound...

Thanks Rehan. I have this same formula actually. It was perfect in helping me find a starting position.

    Bass Advice

Thank you JonFo. Btw you got me with the Momentus April Fools day. 😂 Mostly because I’ve been imagining something similar to use in my HT for ceiling Atmos speakers. I was going to repurpose my Vista panels by suspending them with a cable or mount them in an enclosure. Kinda just want to hear...

    Bass Advice

Thank you for your comment Thank you for the advice. Basically I’d be setting the sub out of phase with the frequencies that are building up. Is that right? Never thought of that idea! My amp has a line out that is the exact same signal. I’ll give it a try today. 🙏🏻🤞

Hello everyone from a new member in Sweden

Hello Mats and welcome to this wonderful forum! You will find the most knowledgable and courteous members anywhere. I'm similar in my musical taste and have found the addition of a subwoofer to my previous setup of Vista's to be imperative. Not only will it help with the lower frequencies but...

    "Trapped"

Hello @GW1800 I am struggling with some mid bass frequencies in my room. I'm intrigued that traps weren't necessary for your room. Like others on here I thought they were a must. Obviously not. Would you care to share what your professional technician may have done to solve your issues? I'd...

Hi everyone and question about speaker placement

Completely agree. I used this formula to set up my Summit's. It was extremely helpful as a starting position and better than all of the other formulations I found. It was still necessary for me to further tweak them for my room and listening position but this was an excellent starting point...

    Bass Advice

Hello fellow members. I have a fairly common question regarding room treatments for bass issues. I have a pair of Summits in a room that is about 10'wide x 11'long x 9'high. I am struggling with finding a listening position that captures mid bass frequencies without compromising the spacial...

    Repanelling ML Clarity's

Hi Steve, May I ask how to measure the HV voltage? I have a pair of Vista's and one sounds discernibly louder than the other. The caps tested and look good. Thank for any advice you can offer! Rob

    FS: Martin Logan Summit

Hello anthement. Sorry for the delayed response and ghosting! Given the current economic state I've been waiting on a lot of invoices to be paid so I haven't had the cash flow to move on these beauties. But 4k is getting into my price point. That being said, are they still available by...
