I currently have Aerius i's, but was considering the Source as a replacement. Also, I have a small square room, 13' x 13'. Would moving up to a bigger ML be justified in terms of sound quality under these conditions, or should I stay with the smaller ML in a smaller room for best results? -Bob.
Mine too
I have 10 year old Aerius i's and I have the central dark spots in the holes too. Just lightly at the tweeter level. I actually cleaned them out one by one with a Q-tip and water, but it dimpled in the mylar. No damage, but looked funny so I quit. It was also very time consuming...
2 dynamo subs
Hi. I have M/L Aerius i's and have added 2 dynamos in a small 11'x11' room. Because the room is small, they work well if you keep the level down and I have them crossed over at 35hz. You have to play with the phase, but I use the phase at 90 degrees and I think they blend well...
Remote?
I really cant move my electronics away from the wall, but how do you point the remote to the electronics if they are at a 90 degree angle from where you are sitting? Just curious. -Bob.
I agree
I agree with the posters. Can you give me some idea of how you like the sound? I currently have Aerius i's and am thinking about replacing them with Sources. Thanks. -Bob.
Sources?
Hi. Can you give me more details on the Source? I am thinking of replacing my older Aerius i's with them. Would you consider them an upgrade? -Bob.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to give a "shout out" to Auralex subdudes platforms. I just bought two for under my two Dynamo subwoofers and they seem to help with the overall muddiness. Pretty reasonable price and look good too. I am running the subs with Aerius i's. Got them for my birthday. -Bob.
Thanks
Thanks Bernard. I would prefer to do that.. just because it is easier to leave both sets connected to the amp...and feed into one set at the speakers. -Bob.
Hi. I was wondering something in regard to bi-wired speakers and single wired speakers. If I replaced my bi-wired Aerius i speakers with The Source speakers (which are single wired I believe)...could I run both sets of wires from the amps two output posts to both go into the ONE input post on...
I use a Krell 200c
Hi. I have been using a Krell 200c amp and sounds great.. but I have a small room and have to keep the Krell -pre-amp volume low. The extra power brings them to life and usable in a small room with low volume. -Bob.
Thanks for the info
Thanks for the info. I would appreciate any other comments about using them in a small square room. BTW, my wife is from Toledo, Ohio and I'm from Miami, Fl. -Bob.
