Wire Gauge of power cord for Ethos

Hi,

I just picked up a pair of Ethos on ebay ($2,000 is a good price?) and I read a review somewhere that said their homemade ROMEX power cord sounded better than stock. Does anyone know what the wire gauge is for the stock cable? I wonder if the 14g wire from Pangea would be an upgrade.
