Which sub to get?

I'm thinking of getting a different sub for both HT and music. I currently have an Original Subwoofer from VPMS. It is rated to 19 Hz, but I think it drops off rapidly in output below 25 Hz. Maybe it's my wimpy amp, I'm not sure. Don't have the money for a Descent, but I see Grottos for about $450-550 second hand. I can buy 1 now and add another later. I assume it will provide some output below its 22 Hz rating.

Another option I'm considering is a B&W ASW750 for around $800, again, second hand. It is rated to 20 Hz at 3db down, and 6db down at 15 Hz. I also see a Muse 22 sub on Ebay, but I can't find any info on it. I remember hearing good things about Muse. One spec I never see on these speakers is at what sound pressure level and distortion are these bottom frequency numbers associated. That seems like a key factor. I called B&W, but they did not return my call.

DepthI is a great sub. It was my favorite in my system when I ran a sub.

Google Tom Nouisane

If you google his name you will receive alot of info on subwoofers.He puts out a list usually every year or two with performance data.I personally would look for a used 18" Velodyne in that range.Good luck.
