Speaker covers for electrostatic panels

My speakers came with covers. To me they look like a "wide" variety of what I would consider "miro-fiber". I just know that whatever it is that I put my sunglasses into is very soft and lasts for years. I figure if they aren't going to scratch plastic, they would be gentle on Martin Logan Speakers. Plus I know for a fact you can have them dyed and made to look like what you want them to look like. Not sure on a $ figure, but they would be your design and one of a kind. :) I just figure if you have to cover up what is a work of art, it should be something at least equally as sweet!

Jim Power doesn't work there anymore. And since he left, replacement parts like panels and woofers have trippled in price.

First & foremost a merry Christmas and all the very best to the ML forum membership! :D Hope everyone is having an enjoyable festive break on both sides of the Atlantic :)

Sadly, indeed Jim has departed.....there was much consternation among the MLC at the time but his wisdom - and our fond memories - live on.... :)
Prices tripled in just a few years?? Crikey! I've been hibernating for too long! :( :D

Pix attached....(apologies for the poor picture quality and the poor light.... :( ..... )
What I like about these covers is they are fairly stiff and have a good "memory" so they keep their shape while covering and uncovering the speakers.
Despite this, the material still feels soft and flexible while the surface has a somewhat shiny, lint-free finish.
They look like they will fit a wide range of logans including older models with "lava" coated bass enclosures such as the Aeon & Ascent.

Very nice, Inter-M :)
They are a big improvement on the plain white paper covers that were supplied with early Summits/Vantages/Vistas. :)

I generally have 2 or 3 long listening sessions per week and keep the Logans covered when not in use.
As a result it only seems necessary to vacuum them once every 6-12 months.
I just let them discharge for 30 minutes before covering. (Mind you, you could probably still play the panels un-powered even after that length of time so clearly there's still a fair amount of charge still present).

The old white paper covers tended to lint up on the outside after a few years but they still did an excellent job of keeping the panels clean.
