Question about picking up Montis from the store...

There is a chance that my Montis will be available to pick up on Christmas eve.

If my impatience gets the best of me, I may forgo delivery and pick them up myself to get them earlier.

Do they need to remain vertical in the box or can they be laid down in the box in the back of a truck?

Pick them up. They transport easily on their side - unlike lots of other speakers. Plus you're guaranteed they won't get damaged in transit.
